With Gratitude

BDSM: It’s Not What You Think! started as a student film project at San Francisco Sate University. As a student film, none of us expected that it would go as far as it has. We owe the film’s success to the wonderful folks who agreed to trust us enough with their personal stories and to share them on camera. If you have ever sat in front of a camera, or had your voice recorded while telling a personal story, then you know what a vulnerable place this can be. The people in BDSM: It’s Not What You Think! deserve much acknowledgment and gratitude for their commitment to the community and to this video project. Without their passion for community outreach and their candid and eloquent words this film would not exist.
